Recent reports that Sutton Tennis Academy is facing receivership have been confirmed as untrue in a statement issued by the centre today.
The centre’s management team stated “We are investigating the source of these reports which have no foundation whatsoever. In common with many businesses, the past two years have presented challenges, although a recent management restructure and an increase in custom has given us a high level of confidence about the future”.
The centre has plans to expand their operations over the next three years and diversify into other areas of the sport and leisure industry whilst maintaining their primary focus on junior and performance tennis.
TSUK has been associated with Sutton Tennis Academy for more than 12 years now and is responsible for many of the county, regional and national competitions held there. Plans have already been drawn up for tournaments extending late into 2011 and beyond.
Sutton’s management went on to say “We have a long-term commitment to all aspects of tennis development including tournaments and matchplay events and are delighted to be associated with David (Fuchs) and his company who manage our competitive programmes”.
Details of all upcoming events and tournaments (including the competitions planned for the first half of 2011) are available from our website, www.tennisuk.net
