From 3rd June 2013, participants
in the TennisUK
Matchplays Programme will only compete against others of
the SAME LTA rating. This follows our recently
conducted website survey which received a high level of response and
discussions with the LTA. A large majority of players and parents confirmed
that they do not want to compete against players of a lower rating in matchplay
events and preferred to play others of the same LTA rating ONLY. Therefore, your TennisUK
Matchplay Playing Preference (Playing Option) is now obsolete and will
disappear from your online account very shortly. In addition, from the
beginning of August 2013, we shall be making further changes including:
** additional Under 16, Under 18 and Men's 18 & over age groups
** new balls will be used for all matches in Men's and Ladies' Open events
** a new, fairer selection policy will be implemented
** changes to event "Tiers" To find out more click

of the page. We have now published our
programme of events for August and September 2013 and look forward to receiving
your applications. Finally we shall shortly be
putting together our programme of events for the winter season and need your
help. If you are a member of an indoor club or centre who has the capacity to
stage events in the TennisUK
Matchplays Programme then please let us
know, or pass our details onto the club or venue contact. As a minimum, a club
or centre needs to provide a minimum of four indoor courts for a period of 7
hours on a weekend day for an event to take place. If as a direct result of an
introduction, a regular programme of events is established then an introducer’s
fee of up to £100 may be payable (conditions apply). Tennis Services UK Limited
