The LTA has announced a change to the method of acceptance for grade 4, yellow ball junior competitions from 1st May 2021.
Where a grade 4 junior event is oversubscribed then the highest RANKED players will be accepted with players of the same rating being split by lot. LTA rating will no longer be taken into account. Seedings will also be based on player RANKINGS.
There is no change to the acceptance method for Men's and Ladies Open grade 4 events which will continue to use RATINGS, with equally rated players split according to ranking. Also, there will be no change to the basis of acceptance for grade 4 junior events with a closing deadline, prior to 1st May. Selections for such events will continue to be based on ratings and then rankings.
