The Magdalen Park Senior Open Tournament, in its third year and hosted by MPLTC, ran smoothly with a fantastic turnout and wonderful weather. The Grade 4 tournament was actually oversubscribed with great support from club members who made up 25% of the total entries.

MPLTC  are a true London club situated in zone 3, close to Earlsfield and Wandsworth Common train stations. The club is busy and competitive with players of all standards. They have many teams (men's, ladies and mixed) and compete in the Surrey premier division and the NCL.

With over £700 in prize money up for grabs the tournament attracted several nationally ranked players and this meant that matches drew a large number of spectators, making for a great atmosphere. Particular congratulations goes to club member Katie Pickles who started in 1st round of qualifying and reached the final of the Ladies Singles event.

Tennis Services UK would like to thank the organising committee Jon Grayson, Dominic Adams, Chris Rolfe and Edwina Le Blanc-Smith, head caterers Ali and V-J for their endless supply of tasty home made sandwiches and snacks - and especially the club members for giving up their courts over the bank holiday weekend. We are already looking forward to next year's event.
