TSUK is recruiting a number of
general assistants and mini-tennis assistants to help at two Easter tournaments
taking place at Sutton Tennis
Academy:
Mini-tennis assistants will provide
on-court help in mini-red and mini-orange events including scoring, setting up
courts and finding players.
General assistants' duties will
include help with watering clay courts and generally helping the
tournament organiser, referee & team of officials to help ensure that the
competitions run smoothly.
Applications are welcome from
candidates aged 16 or over with a knowledge of tennis. You must be physically
fit, a good communicator, able to work as part of a team and available to work
for a minimum of 4 hours a day. Shifts may be split into two sessions a day.
Hours are likely to vary and you may be required to work at any time from
8:00am onwards although no late evening work is anticipated.
Players who have successfully
completed an LTA Competition Organiser's course will be given preferential
consideration, although this is not a requirement.
Pay: £5.40 per hour. An
additional payment of £0.60 per hour will be made to "LTA Competition
Organisers". Payable in cash on completion of a time sheet/invoice which
will be provided.
Application deadline: 10:00am
on Thursday 20th March. Brief telephone interviews may be
conducted and successful applicants will be notified by Monday 24th March.
