Tennis Services UK Limited regrets to announce that the Aldershot Open Tournament will not take place in 2010.
Despite discussions over several months, it was not possible to reach agreement with the bodies responsible for the facility which belongs to the ministry of defence and has been closed for several months, pending decisions on future usage.
This will be great a shame to many players in the south-east of the UK, who have supported the competition over the past 13 years and we would like to thank all former players and parents who have attended the tournament since 1997.
We would also like to convey our appreciation to Clive Asprey Tennis Academy (formerly based at Aldershot Tennis Centre) for hosting the tournament from 1997 to 2008 and to Aspire Defence Leisure Services who stepped in at short notice to help make the 2009 tournament possible.
TSUK will be managing the Grade 3 Esher Junior Open Tournament this year, which takes place during the same week as Aldershot.
