Events and tournaments in January, February and March now accepting applications.

Applications are being invited for our competitions taking place during January, February and March 2011. In addition to several dozen one-day events in the  Tennis UK matchplays.com programme we also have THREE Mens Open SuperSeries competitions staged, together with the February half-term Wilton Open Tournament.

A one-day touchtennis event will take place on Sunday 23rd January with prize money of nearly £2,000. For more details, see below.

The complete list of tournaments taking place in January, February and March 2011 is as follows:

 - 8^th, 9^th, 15^th and 16^th January - Sutton Tennis Academy Mens INDOOR January SuperSeries (Surrey). Grade 3.
Weekend only Grade 3 tournament for adults and older junior players. Indoor play during the afternoon and evening.
 
- 22^nd, 23^rd, 29^th and 30^th January - DAVID LLOYD SOUTHAMPTON Mens INDOOR January SuperSeries (Surrey). Grade 3.
Inaugural SuperSeries tournament at David Lloyd Southampton. Play takes place at the weekends only from 12:00 noon onwards.  

- Sunday 23^rd January ONLY - £2,000 Prize Money 'touchtennis' Oz Open. Weybridge Tennis Academy, Surrey (NON-LTA event).
Exciting one day mixed-singles event taking place indoors at Weybridge Tennis Academy. Uses basic tennis principles played on a smaller court with soft balls to minimise the benefit of power and maximise the skills of strategy and touch. A real leveller with some innovative rule variations and over £1,800 in prize money! Open to all players aged 16 and over. 

 - 19^th, 20^th, 26^th and 27^th February - Sutton Tennis Academy Mens INDOOR February SuperSeries (Surrey). Grade 3.
Weekend only Grade 3 tournament for adults and older junior players. Indoor play during the afternoon and evening.

 - Monday  20^th to Saturday 26^th February - Wilton Open Tournament (Surrey). Grade 3.
Popular half term holiday tournament taking place at a number of venues in the Wimbledon area. Including junior and mini-tennis events, the tournament will be extended for the first time in 2011 to include Mens and Ladies open events.

 

 - EVERY WEEKEND from 2nd January onwards.

   THE TENNIS UK MATCHPLAYS.COM programme.

One-day events taking place at Hatfield, Sutton and the LTA National Tennis Centre in Roehampton. All events take place at the weekends in the afternoons and evenings on INDOOR courts, with the exception of the LTA National Tennis Centre, which take place outdoors. Matchplay events are run in several age groups and provide an excellent means of match practice for both adults and juniors against opponents of similar standard. Results are submitted to the LTA for ratings purposes and the programme has now been established more than 8 years. 

Matchplay events tend to be very popular in the winter, so an early application is recommended. Please remember that you may cancel any application without charge up to the published cancellation deadlines (4:00pm on the Tuesday prior to each event). Players and parents are reminded that applying for multiple events on the SAME DAY (within the Tennis UK matchplays.com programme) IS permitted – our system ensures that no player can be selected for more than one matchplay event/venue per day. Players submitting multiple applications stand a far greater chance of selection. 

Please visit www.tennisuk.net now to make an online application for any of these competitions. DO remember that unlike the LTA's online entry system, we do not charge you when you make an application for an event. We only bill players once they are ACCEPTED for a competition.

Cancellations are also permitted without charge (up to stipulated deadlines)  for ALL of our competitions.
